Boski is a variety of spun silk which is made when the cocoon is slit open and the fibre is taken out like flux, and afterwards spun to form threads in the same manner that cotton is. This technique originated in antiquity in the Shandong province, China. Boski is thus lighter and has a brighter luster than the sheen of normal silk. It is also more crisp and airy by comparison.

There was a time when finding quality Boski was a great task. Many decades ago, People were known to seek smuggled ‘Two Horse Boski’. Since then, technology has developed various methods of producing boski without the traditional sericulture process, which has enabled the development of various types and brands in the market. However, the discerning bon vivant shuns this non-genuine fabric. Pasha’s Royal Boski is made in the traditional Chinese method with the highest grade of natural silk fiber, in order to ensure the best quality of the fabric produced. Furthermore, this gives it greater silkiness and a better fall that only traditional boski can have.

Who wears Boski?

In the Tang Dynasty of China, silk was reserved for the emperor and the royal family. Hence, silk came to be associated with royalty. Pasha’s Royal Boski harkens back to this traditional regal quality, and indeed is a fabric worthy of emperors.

Much like the ancient emperors of China, the person who chooses Pasha’s Royal Boski is a league apart. His bright, smooth apparel and sophisticated mien set him apart from his contemporaries. However, his sophistication isn’t only on the surface; he is well-educated, knowledgeable and erudite. He has wandered the world and carried his culture and traditions with him. The Pasha Royal Boski man has brought his learned wisdom back to his people, knowing that future can only be secured through education. He knows that the pen is mightier than the sword. And no matter where he is headed or wherever he has already been, he also understands the importance of his roots, and the bringing together of new ideas whilst retaining who he is. He is well admired as his style and panache speak for themselves, and is all reflected in his choice of apparel.
