September 14, 2018 Warning bell for Pasha Fabrics
Counterfeiters

On the 14th of September, the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) published the following judgement in all major newspapers of the country:

“The Competition Commission of Pakistan has imposed a penalty of PKR 4.25 million on 7 fabric and packaging companies for fraudulently using the registered trademark ‘Pasha Fabrics.’

It was established that these companies were using the Pasha brand name without any authorization from Pasha Fabrics. Considering this fact, the commission has imposed a penalty of PKR 500,000 on four of the guilty parties and 750,000 on the remaining three.

These penalties were imposed because these businesses were deceiving consumers and harming the business interests of Pasha Fabrics in violation of Section 10 of the Competition Act 2010.

A major victory for Pasha Fabrics and just reward for the effort that everyone at Pasha is putting into each and every endeavor of the brand.
